Health & sanitation protocols
Like most service companies worldwide, it was necessary for us here at Immersa Global to modify our programs (including some local suppliers) to further ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests, employees, and community. We’ve closely followed the health and sanitation protocols established by the Center for Disease Control in the U.S. and the Portuguese Directorate-General of Health here in Portugal in order to make the necessary changes to the way we design and run our travel programs.
In Portugal, the national government has established a detailed set of health and sanitation standards by which all tourism suppliers are requested to abide. They’ve recently launched the Safe & Clean certification to award and promote the companies that chose to participate in this program. At present, Immersa Global is only working with local suppliers that follow the guidelines and have officially received the Safe & Clean certification. For now, all of our clients will receive detailed information about the health and sanitation procedures that each of their local hotels, restaurants, cultural sites, and ground transportation providers are implementing prior to confirming his or her travel program.
